Know the grade before the Klassenarbeit.

Klevly turns your child's own class material into a practice test, marks it the way a German teacher does, and shows you, in English, what will cost points and how to fix it.

A marked practice task: the student's handwritten answer, with 'unit missing' and 'answer sentence missing' marked in red, 3 of 5 points.
The problem

You can't check the homework in German. And ChatGPT doesn't mark like the teacher.

German teachers grade the working, not just the answer. Points go for a missing unit, a missing Antwortsatz, a missing geg./ges., the wrong technical term. Most families find out when the test comes back, and by then it's a grade.

Free AI explains physics well. It doesn't sit your child down for 45 minutes, mark the sheet line by line and say "this is a 3+".

How the teacher would mark it

FG = 8,0 kg · 9,81 N/kg = 78,48

Einheit fehlt  −1  Unit missing: 78,48 N
Antwortsatz fehlt  −1  No answer sentence

The physics is right. Two points gone anyway.

How it works

A dress rehearsal for the real test.

  1. Photograph the class material

Worksheets, notes, the topic list. You tick which topics the test covers.

  2. Practise first

Short exercises per topic, in three levels, so your child isn't thrown into a test cold.

  3. Write a practice Klassenarbeit, under time

On paper, or directly on a tablet with a pen. Same length and style as the real one.

  4. Get it marked like the teacher marks

Points per task, credit for the working, deductions for units, answer sentences and terms, and a predicted grade.

  5. Fix the gaps

A walk-through of their own sheet, then a short follow-up test on exactly what lost points.

If this were the real test
3+

24,5 of 35 points · written in 38 minutes

1 is the best grade · 4 is a pass

What you get, as the parent

A summary in your language

"Practice test on force, mass and acceleration: 24.5 of 35 points, a 3+. The physics is mostly there. Four points were lost on form, not on understanding: two missing units and two missing answer sentences. Fixing those two habits alone would have made it a 2."

Your child sees everything first. You see how ready they are, not every mistake.

Where we stand

Early, honest, and being used.

I'm Joarley, a software engineer and an expat parent in Berlin. I built Klevly when my son had a physics Klassenarbeit and I couldn't tell whether he was ready. It is in use at home now, and we're opening it to a small group of families.

Questions
Is the predicted grade official?

No. It's a practice estimate based on a common German grading scale, so you know where your child stands before the real test. The teacher sets the real grade.

How do you know the marking is right?

The correct answers are computed, not guessed, when the test is made. When the handwriting or a step is unclear, Klevly flags it instead of guessing.

Does my child need to understand English?

No. Everything your child sees is in German, the way their teacher writes it. Only the parent summary can be in English.

Is it a replacement for Nachhilfe?

It can be the step before Nachhilfe, or work alongside it: it shows exactly which points are being lost, so tutoring time goes where it matters.

What about my child's data?

The parent holds the account. Class material and answer sheets are used only to make and mark your child's tests.
